After I had frustratingly worked with several other decorators while trying to finish out a house, Kay was referred to me. Not only did we finish decorating that house, but since that first encounter, she’s moved me in and out of two additional homes and has done all my holiday decorating to boot.
She is a fabulous lady who listens carefully to what I have to say. She’s dependable, hard working, budget conscious, respectful of my taste, decisive (but with a “no-pressure” attitude), and as it turns out has become one of my dear friends. I know if I want something updated or if I’ve just changed my mind, she’ll be there to adjust it. She’s been a wonderful find, and my husband likes her too! In 2005, my husband and I took on the task of having a home built for our family. Sounded good; I could take on selecting everything for our new house and take care of four active daughters. I was quite naïve on what the building of a home required. I was fortunate enough to have Kay recommended to me.
With Kay's expertise, she guided me through exactly what needed to be done. She was the calming force in my life when everything became overwhelming. There was no problem that Kay couldn't solve. She got to know my family. I built a total trust in her. She was the professional who allowed me to be the mom I wanted to be for that year. It got to the point that I could just tell her to make a selection or decision. She attended several meetings with the builders without me and always had our best interests in mind.
She has such an attention for detail and endless energy. The thing that meant the most to me was the time Kay took to get to know my children. She personally designed each one of their rooms that reflected their own personalities. They all love Kay! Our house is truly a home that reflects our lifestyle and personality. It is not a just another "designer decorated" house. Simply put, hiring Kay was the best money I could have spent. I feel I saved money because with Kay there were no costly mistakes. Actually, I would call her priceless!
